Fashion Improvement District
Fashion Improvement District is a colourful, vibrant part of the Joburg. Characterised mainly by its bulk sale of fashion garments and party décor single and bulk sales. Over the years this precinct has become a hub for provincial and cross boarder small business. It is a one stop shop for bulk buying and affordable rates. This has led to an abnormal increase informal taxi and bus ranks all over the Precinct.
This has not hindered property investment however, as property owners continue to thrive in the ever-bustling district. Benefiting from high traffic and central location. Informal trade is also a key characteristic of the district, further confirming the CIDs support for economic growth, provided it is properly managed.
The main objectives of the FID are:
