Legae La Rona Improvement District (NPC) is a City Improvement District formally established in 2005 with the sole purpose of providing community-based urban management within its boundaries.
Serving a high-density residential community encompassing 37 major residential complexes and housing developments, Legae La Rona creates a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for property owners, operators, and residents alike.
Current Operational Deployment
10 Cleaners
Monday – Friday (07h00 – 16h00) dedicated to street & alleyway hygiene
Night Shift Patrol
Private Security Patrol operating from 18h00 to 06h00 every night
6 Community Patrollers
Daytime visibility and assistance (06h00 – 18h00 daily)
Donald Mackay Park Activation
In active partnership with Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo, Urban Space Management has adopted Donald Mackay Park to reclaim and secure public space for community enjoyment.
- Joint maintenance including regular grass cutting and daily cleaning
- Deployed security guards to secure infrastructure and prevent unlawful invasion
- Actively utilized by nearby schools for youth activities and sports tournaments
